True worker participation means having a real say in decisions that affect your job and working conditions - not just being informed or encouraged to work harder. It involves as a minimum, consultation, but a more meaningful and less passive participation is joint decision-making, and a leading role when changes (like those promoted by green policies) are introduced and enacted.
